JinHa Beach, Korea Hosts 2011 Ulsan World Cup PWA Event

It's a great thrill to finally have a stream of good events to cover on Discover Windsurfing. Windsurfing Events are picking up all around the globe and we are happy to highlight the latest major event coming out of Korea. The 2011 Ulsan World Cup was held from May 14-May 20th and features some of windsurfing's top names including Team Gaastra's Sarah Quinta-Offringa and Alberto Menegatti. It's a well kept secret that during May and June each year JinHa Beach, Korea receives some of the strongest cross-winds and provides one of the best rides in windsurfing. Gaastra Wins Big At Podersurf, Australia Windsurf Event

We have highlighted many of Gaastra's high performance windsurfing products during the history of Discover Windsurfing. We are now glad to highlight a major triple win that Team Gaastra achieved at Podersdorf, Australia just this past weekend. It was a hard fought competition in the Windsurfing Freestyle Men's division but we are glad to share that Steven Van Broeckhoven, Kiri Thode, and Davy Scheffers from Team Gaastra took the top three spots respectively. This up and down event came down to the very last run and by a slim margin and a fortunate pick up of wind speeds, Steven Van Broeckhoven was able to pull forward from the competition. Steve utilized his explosive freestyle windsurfing skills to pull off a superb performance that had the crowd in awe. Along with his great skill Steven Van Broeckhoven had Gaastra behind him and their name is well known within the windsurfing business for their high performance windsurf products.
